Travelogue: What’s Your Excuse?

I’m leaving this morning for 3 months in Vietnam with trips to Cambodia and Laos in the mix.  I’ve said it before, but let me repeat . . . please come join me!  What’s your excuse?  No time?  I’m guessing in this down economy your employer would be glad to give you an extra week off unpaid.  No money?  Did you know that lunch is just 40-cents in Vietnam and your hotel will be $10 a night? Ten days in Vietnam will cost you less than a long weekend in Vegas or a 5 day trip to Hawaii.  Kids, husband, wife, or other family that needs you?  Bring ‘em!  It’s a country who has something for everyone and travel does great things for kids.  It’s not an ideal time?  Is there such a thing?  This is a country that is changing so quickly and inflation has a stranglehold on the people so get here before lunch doubles to 80-cents and it’s so Westernized that you can’t tell the difference between Saigon and Santa Barbara.  I’ll be available on email or through my blog if you want to send me your arrival information (or any other important life changes).  See you soon!

  1. Sorry… I’ve recently changed my name to Ben Southall and am relocating to Queensland. Really, you should have won.
